Damage inflicted to the Russian Embassy in London as a result of 16/17 August attack

In the night 16/17 August 2012 the consular section of the Russian Embassy in London was attacked by a mob chanting slogans against the Syrian government and throwing stones towards the building. Several windows were broken, there has been a significant damage to the house. Fortunately none of the Embassy staff were injured.

Ushakov Medals presented to three British veterans of the Arctic Convoys

On 12 and 13 December 2014 three Britons, Mr Kenneth BURKINSHAW, Mr Robert RYDER and Mr Kenneth MIDDLETON were presented the Ushakov Medals awarded to them by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of 10 March 2014 for their personal courage and bravery displayed during their service in the Arctic Convoys in WWII.

Ushakov Medal presented to British veterans of the Arctic Convoys

On 13 December 2014 First Secretary of the Russian Embassy Sergey Gushchin presented the Ushakov Medal to Mr John Henry BERRILL and Mr Geoff George SKINNER, who were awarded this military honour by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of 10 March 2014 for their personal courage and bravery displayed during the service in the Arctic Convoys in WWII.

On 8 December Counsellor of the Russian Embassy Sergey Nalobin presented Ushakov Medals to 24 British veterans of the Arctic Convoys at a ceremony in Shrewsbury.

On 7 December Third Secretary of the Russian Embassy Pavel Kozlov presented the Ushakov Medal to Mr Cyril PORTER, Mr Glynn Tegfan JONES and Mr John Malcolm CLERC, who were awarded this military honour by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of 10 March 2014 for their personal courage and bravery displayed during their service in the Arctic Convoys in WWII.

Ushakov Medal presented to British veterans of the Arctic Convoys in Woking

On 4 December Counsellor of the Russian Embassy Mr.Sergey Nalobin and Third Secretary of the Russian Embassy Sergey Fedichkin presented Ushakov Medals to British veterans of the Arctic Convoys currently residing in Woking (Reginald William Guy, Douglas Mervyn Denis Potts, Edward Victor Tann) during a meeting of Woking County Council.

Ushakov Medal presented to British veterans of the Arctic Convoys in Wales

On 2-3 December Counsellor of the Russian Embassy Mr.Sergey Nalobin, Third Secretary of the Russian Embassy Sergey Fedichkin, Attaché of the Russian Embassy Elizaveta Vokorina and Assistant Naval Attaché Commander Dmitry Sharapov visited Wales to present Ushakov Medals to British veterans of the Arctic Convoys living in this region.

On the discussion on the issue of religious intolerance in the Middle East at the House of Lords

On 26 November Counsellor of the Russian Embassy Sergey Nalobin took part in the discussion at the House of Lords on the issue of religious intolerance in the Middle East hosted by Lord Howell and Lord Lothian.

On 24 November Counsellor of the Russian Embassy Mr.Sergey Nalobin, Third Secretary of the Russian Embassy Sergey Belyakov, Third Secretary of the Russian Embassy Sergey Fedichkin and Assistant Naval Attaché Commander Dmitry Sharapov presented Ushakov Medals to 36 British veterans of the Arctic Convoys at a ceremony in Worcester.
