PRESS RELEASES

18.08.2012

Violations of public order continue next to the Russian Embassy in London

During the night 17/18 August 2012 between 23.00 and 00.30 a new rally by Syrian opposition supporters took place near the consular section of the Russian Embassy in London. The demonstration was accompanied by loud chanting and drumming and was escorted by police.

It is worth mentioning that the UK authorities did not prevent a loud rally from taking place during night time in a residential area of London, even though it contradicts the local public order regulations.
