Ambassador Yakovenko participates in the Russian Banking Forum in London
On 28 November 2012 H.E. Alexander Yakovenko, Ambassador of Russia, participated in the 19th international Russian Banking Forum, annually organised in London under the auspices of the Adam Smith Conferences and aimed at Russian, British and international financial professionals. This year its participants included Mr Dmitry Pankin, the Head of the Federal Service for Financial Markets, representatives of the management of such leading financial institutions as Sberbank, Gazprombank, VTB Bank, URALSIB Capital, Otkritie, Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs, Citibank, HSBC, etc.
Speaking at the Forum, Ambassador Yakovenko highlighted the key trends of the Russian-British business co-operation, including the framework of the bilateral Intergovernmental Steering Committee on Trade and Investment and its latest session in London on 29 October 2012, stressed the notable contribution by the financial sector to the growing dialogue between our countries, including that in the context of the ongoing expert discussions on the creation of the international financial centre in Moscow.
In the period from January to March 2013 wages grew by 5.3%. The average monthly retirement pension in January-February was 9,711 roubles, a 3% increase compared to the same period in 2012.
The new Government website takes a systematic approach to providing detailed and up-to-date information on the work of the Government as a collegial body. The site allows for quick and convenient access to archival material on the Government’s decisions, legislative activity, implementation of instructions and plans, and the work of the Prime Minister, his deputies and federal ministers.

On May 17, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin met in Sochi with Secretary-General of the United Nations Organization (UN) Ban Ki-moon. The meeting focused on a detailed exchange of views on the main issues in current international relations.
The Russian delegation at the Y20 Russia 2013 Summit, to be held from 18-21 June 2013 as part of the St.Petersburg Economic Forum, gave a news conference in Moscow. Roman Chukov, Head of the Y20 Russia 2013 Secretariat, reminded that a broad ranged dialogue within Russia's G20 Presidency is being held, including meetings of civil society, entrepreneurs, labour unions, think tanks and youth.
The fourth VTB Capital “RUSSIA CALLING!” Investment Forum: London Session will take place between May 21st and 23rd. Within the framework of the three day Forum, leading Russian and international experts and government officials will discuss the strategic priorities for the economic development of Russia, including monetary policy.
