On the questions by BBC regarding publications on the death of Alexander Perepilichniy
The Embassy has learned about the death of Mr. Alexander Perepilichniy from the British media. At the moment we cannot confirm whether he was a Russian citizen. Neither the relatives of Mr. Alexander Perepilichniy nor the British authorities have contacted us on the matter of his death.
We believe that since Mr. Alexander Perepilichniy died in Britain all questions regarding the investigation should be addressed to the relevant British authorities.
We cannot see any connection between the death of Mr. Alexander Perepilichniy, the causes of which are yet to be established, and the so called “Magnitsky case”.

PRESIDENT OF RUSSIA VLADIMIR PUTIN: Ladies and Gentlemen, I am delighted to greet Members and guests of the General Assembly of the International Exhibitions Bureau. Russia has a long and rich experience of participation in the World Expo movement. We took part in the very first universal exhibition in London in 1851. And at the Paris exhibition in 1900 our pavilion won the coveted Gold Medal and Grand Prix. But in all this time, Russia has not hosted the World Expo, not once. Surely, time has come to change this.
Ladies and Gentlemen, Dear friends, I am delighted to welcome you at an evening function at Kensington Palace and thank you for the attention that you give to promoting SAMBO as an Olympic sport.
