Visit of the Delegation of the State Duma

On 26–29 November 2012 the delegation of the Russian State Duma headed by Vice-Speaker Vladimir Vasyliev and comprising of Chairman of the Constitutional Committee Vladimir Pligin, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Alexey Pushkov and First Deputy Chair of the Committee on Housing E.Nikolaeva visited London at the invitation of the Conservative Party. During the visit the Russian parliamentarians met Minister for Europe David Liddington MP, Deputy Speakers of the House of Commons Nigel Evans MP and Lindsay Hoyle MP, Chairman of the Intelligence and Security Committee of the House of Commons Sir Malcolm Rifkind MP, PPS to Minister of State for Employment Harriet Baldwin MP and other British MPs. Comprehensive and frank exchanges of views on topical issues of the international agenda as well as substantial discussion of the ways to further enhance of Russo-British inter-parliamentary dialogue took place.
